Volunteers of America has been working with our nation's veterans since World War I. We are proud to be one of the largest private providers in the state. 

Veterans Transitional Housing

Veterans are referred to our program to support their transition from homelessness to housing. During their stay, we provide case management, employment, and income assistance, art therapy, special events and activities, and wrap-around services.

Supportive Services for Veterans Families (SSVF)

Help for very low-income veterans and their families to prevent homelessness, or rapidly rehouse those who already are homeless. Veteran Employment And Training (HVRP)

The Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program (HVRP) provides comprehensive employment training and placement for veterans. Our services prepare veterans for the workplace and address employment barriers through coordinated care.

Veteran Food Security Project (VFSP)

The Veteran Food Security Project (VFSP) funded by the Bob Woodruff Foundation will have multiple components and serve Michigan veterans regardless of discharge status. Shelf stable emergency food kits, hot meals and more are available.

Suicide Prevention Engagement & Referral for Veterans (SERV) 

Suicide Prevention Engagement & Referral for Veterans (SERV) Program works to help identify veterans and active-duty members at risk of suicide. This program is funded by the Staff Sergeant Parker Gordon Fox Suicide Prevention Grant and will serve 17 counties in southern Michigan.
