Homeless No More 2018 showed yet again that Lansing is a caring community, willing to look out for Our Neighbors and Our Family
The chair of the Lansing Committee for our Board of Directors put it this way in his comments:
"When a mom and her kids flee an abusive situation, and they have nothing, no support, nowhere to turn … are we going to send them away, hoping someone else will take care of them? Never. Not as long as we have a say in it.
The good news is we do have a say in it. I’m proud to be part of this organization, and proud to be part of this community which is made up of generous people like you.
These are our neighbors. Our family. And we ARE going to take care of them."
