Grand Re-Opening: Burton Thrift Store

Volunteers of America Michigan celebrated their newly updated store with the community early this morning with a ribbon cutting. They have recently finished the flooring, upgraded lighting, painted the interior and exterior, along with rolling out a full re-brand of the store. The store will continue the celebrations on through the 11th and 12th with food trucks, face painting, giveaways, and more!

The remodeled store will provide customers with over 20,000 square feet of shopping for clothing, linens, pots and pans, bedding, household goods, furniture and more. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the store will go to support programs for homeless veterans, poor seniors, and struggling families in Michigan.

The location will allow for donation drop-offs, and will even offer pickup in the surrounding area. To schedule a pickup, call 866-333-8281.

The Volunteers of America Thrift brand is well known for their “Take Half-Off Tuesday” sale that is held the last Tuesday of each month.

“We are truly grateful for the community’s support-- between donations and shopping at the store; you make our work possible. Everyone should feel good about visiting because whether you’re shopping or donating goods, you’re serving those in need. We hope to see everyone during our Grand Re-Opening weekend!” said Alex Brodrick, President & CEO of Volunteers of America Michigan.
