PUBLIC AUCTION: RULES, REGULATIONS AND GENERAL INFORMATION. To purchase a vehicle, purchaser must: Have a valid Driver’s License or state I.D NOTE: PURCHASERS MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO REGISTER A VEHICLE THROUGH THE MICHIGAN SECRETARY OF STATE; OR A $50.00 TRANSFER FEE (PER VEHICLE) WILL BE CHARGED TO REGISTER VEHICLE(S) IN AN ELIGIBLE PURCHASERS NAME. Must be 18 years of age or older to attend and enter the auction lot. Have $200.00 in cash (per vehicle) for a NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT. Purchaser must be able to pay for the remainder of the vehicle immediately after the auction by 1:00pm. Purchaser must be able to remove each vehicle purchased from VOA property the following business day after the auction by 4:00pm *note: storage fees will be charged at $10.00 a day per vehicle if not removed from property by allocated time frame. Purchased vehicles will not be released until storage fees have been paid in full. General information: Purchaser will pay the amount bid on the vehicle, plus document fees (5% of the sale price - max $230.00), a $15.00 title fee, plus 6% sales tax must be paid, unless the purchaser is a licensed dealer with a current valid dealer license on file with VOA. All vehicles are sold AS- IS, WHERE IS WITH NO WARRANTY of any kind. If you are unsure about a vehicle DO NOT BID. We highly encourage purchasers to attend our auction preview to check out a vehicle they are interested in. Auction preview is the day before from 12:00pm-4:00pm and the day of the auction from 8:30am-9:45am. If purchaser chooses to buy or transfer plate for a car they have purchaser, they must have proof of valid insurance on that vehicle being purchased. The plate purchase or transfer plate must be done prior to 1:00pm on the Saturday of auction. Bidding starts at $300.00*. From there the final price depends on how many people are bidding and how much they are willing to spend. *note: VOA has the right to change the starting bid at any time without any notice to customers, some vehicles may have a protected bid.
