What is your position with VOAMI? Data and Compliance Manager

What brought you to VOAMI? I was looking for a career change but wanted to continue working with non-profit organizations. I connected with the values and mission of VOAMI early on and feel passionate about the work being done.

How long have you worked with VOAMI? I started in November 2019.

What is your biggest takeaway from your job? It doesn’t matter what role you have in the organization; every single employee is integral to making VOAMI a success.

What is your biggest challenge? Not being afraid to fail. Things don’t always go the way I plan, but owning up to it my mistakes, learning from them and moving on is important. If you’re not failing, you’re not learning!

Where is your ideal vacation spot? One of my dream vacations would be Barcelona, Spain. Not only is there a ton of places to explore and things to do but they also have gorgeous beaches to relax on.

What is your favorite book? Reading is one of my favorite activities so it’s hard to choose just one. My favorite classic is ‘Fahrenheit 451’, but I do enjoy a good mystery/thriller from time to time and love books like ‘Gone Girl’ and ‘The Girl on the Train.’

What fills your time outside of work? You can usually find me at home snuggling with my two fuzzy cats.

Who is your hero? Why? I look up to several women in my life, both family and close friends. It’s difficult to pick just one person but I admire each individual’s strength, determination and bravery. Each of them empowers me to be a better version of myself.
